Extracorporeal fertilization (IVF) is surrounded by myths that prevent couples with infertility from making decisions, said Gunai Salayeva, a reproductive therapist and obstetrician-gynecologist. According to her, the success of the procedure is not guaranteed and depends on the woman's age, sperm quality, endometrial condition, concomitant diseases and lifestyle.
