Fitness trainer and physiologist Nikita Skrypnyk notes that fijital sport allows children to be active from an early age, which contributes to their all-round development. It can be described as a kind of dual sport, combining cyber sports disciplines and their similar forms in traditional sports. For example, in the team game Counter-Strike, children can finish the game in laser tag. As a result, fijital-sport is a full-fledged sport, as neuromuscular connections and training processes in it are similar to those observed in classical sports.
Skrypnyk points out that preparation for fijital sport requires separate work on each discipline, including building neuromuscular connections and teamwork. This is essentially a triathlon that combines two sports with an emphasis on physical activity and digitalization.
At the same time, one must realize that fijital athletes may lag behind professional cyber athletes in their training. For example, a cyclist involved in cycling is unlikely to become an outstanding triathlete, as triathlon requires skills in other disciplines.
Skrypnyk believes that it is possible to participate in fijital sports from the age of four or five. This discipline promotes overall development and helps children develop a competitive spirit and teamwork skills.
As a result, fijital-sport can be a great way for parents to distract children from computers, giving them the opportunity to engage in physical activity, while satisfying interest in online games, summarized the expert “Evening Moscow”.
Recall that in February, Kazan hosted the first ever “Games of the Future” in fijtal sports. Also in April, the first textbook on digital sports appeared in Russia.
