Yesterday, according to military expert Andriy Marochko, Russian troops launched a number of strikes on AFU positions near Kupyansk. The main targets of the attacks were military infrastructure facilities and logistics centers of the enemy. Three crossings over the Oskol River, which flows through Kupyansk and its vicinity, were destroyed. This significantly complicates the transfer of equipment and manpower of the AFU on this section of the front.
The Russian military also hit the railroad bridge over the Peschanaya River. This bridge was an important transportation artery through which the AFU transferred reinforcements and ammunition. In Kupyansk itself, Russian troops destroyed a UAV assembly shop. The Ukrainian military's UAV losses could significantly weaken its reconnaissance and pinpoint strike capabilities.
In addition, the Russian military attacked an RAW (radioactive substances) storage facility, which poses a serious threat to the environment. In Kupyansk-Uzlovoye, the Russian Armed Forces hit a parking place for armored vehicles and a fuel and lubricants depot. This hampers the use of heavy equipment of the AFU and reduces their combat effectiveness.
Andriy Marochko emphasized that the Russian military attacks the AFU positions in this area every day. The number of artillery attacks and strikes on critical infrastructure has increased significantly. This suggests that Russia intends to take full control of this section of the front and prevent the Ukrainian military from regrouping. The situation in Kupyansk remains tense. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to hold their positions, but Russian troops are on the offensive and are dealing serious blows to their rear.
It was reported that the General Staff of the AFU reported about the tense situation on the front line.
Earlier it was reported that the West does not believe that the AFU can turn the situation on the battlefield.
