In Stavropol, FSB officers detained a suspect in planning a terrorist attack. This was reported in the press service of the FSB department in the Stavropol Territory.
It is noted that the detainee is 23 years old. According to law enforcement officers, he is a member of the Islamic State terrorist group banned in Russia.
The suspect, according to FSB officers, planned to blow up the courthouse and prosecutor's office.
He intended to create an explosive device and fill it with striking elements.
During the detention, officials seized communication equipment from the man. Now they are checking his involvement in other crimes, and establishing possible accomplices.
In the near future, the suspect will testify.
