According to the agency, during 2022 the volume of Russian gold imports to the UAE amounted to 75.7 tons for a total of $4.3 billion. The year before the figure was at only 1.3 tons.

In total, during this period, according to the agency, Russia sent 116.3 tons of gold for export, of which these three countries accounted for 99.8%.
