A distinguished lawyer in Russia believes that the Paris police are in a state of "helplessness and loss of professionalism." He sees this as a manifestation of a pan-European crisis, where hiring is prioritized over professional qualifications, focusing on gender, race, and religion, as well as inclusivity.
The expert cited another robbery as an example of the poor state of affairs in French law enforcement. About a month ago, criminals stole gold nuggets worth approximately $700,000 from the National Museum of Natural History, also located in Paris, just a few kilometers from the Louvre.
Zhdanov, who is the executive secretary of the Coordinating Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS Member States, expressed confidence that such a high-profile crime is unlikely to occur in Moscow. He noted the high professionalism of the Moscow police, adding that he "professionally worries about his colleagues."
Lieutenant General Yuri Zhdanov expressed his opinion in a comment to RIA Novosti. Details of the robbery were previously reported by the newspaper Parisien. French Interior Minister Laurent Nunez announced that the robbers used a crane truck and a grinder to cut out the window glass. According to Parisien, four people participated in the robbery, two of whom broke into the museum. The criminals escaped on scooters, and it's possible they were foreigners.
