According to the Kremlin's website, Macron expressed a desire to hold a telephone conversation with the Russian president. During the conversation, two issues were discussed - the events in Belarus and the case of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
According to Putin, some statements by leaders of many countries who accuse Russian officials of conspiring in connection with the poisoning of Navalny are inappropriate.
"Representatives of the relevant bodies will figure out real events in this case," Putin emphasized and added that Germany needs to transfer documents on this case to its Russian colleagues.
We remind, earlier Putin held a conversation with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, where the two leaders agreed on joint annual military exercises.
