According to the G1 portal, Flavio Dino, who heads the Brazilian Ministry of Justice, allowed the government to reconsider the agreement with the ICC with the subsequent withdrawal from its jurisdiction.

According to the head of the department, the Brazilian authorities note the fact that the International Criminal Court does not apply to a number of states.

"Many countries in the world, including the most influential, have not ratified the Rome Statute of the ICC," Dino explained.

In addition, the minister pointed to the significant imbalance that has arisen because the US, China and Russia have not acceded to the court's jurisdiction, which at the same time extends to other countries. Flavio Dino emphasized that there is no interstate equality in the application of the agreement with the ICC.

Earlier it became known that Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva intends to familiarize in detail with the agreement with the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
