Turkey not ready to abandon all-inclusive tariff for fear of losing tourists

Turkey fears to lose Russian tourists due to the abolition of all-inclusives

Despite discussions on the reform of the tourism sector, Turkey is not yet ready to abandon the “all-inclusive” system in hotels, fearing the outflow of Russian tourists, who make up a significant part of the tourist flow. This is according to a source in the Turkish tourism sector.

Sources in the tourism industry emphasize that the habitual system allows Russians who plan their vacations in advance to clearly form a budget, and its abolition may create financial inconvenience and stimulate the choice of alternative destinations.

“We are not yet ready to abandon a system that has proven itself well,” the source said, emphasizing the importance of preserving the loyalty of Russian tourists. RIA Novosti.

According to the industry representative, Turkish hotels are actively introducing hybrid service models and special package offers, but a complete abandonment of all-inclusive remains a risky step that could create serious problems for the tourist infrastructure.

Earlier, Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexei Erkhov warned about possible payment difficulties for Russian tourists in case of canceling all-inclusive due to restrictions related to the use of bank cards.

Interestingly, the president of the Association of Small Hoteliers of Turkey Ertan Ustaoglu expressed the opinion that the “all-inclusive” system restrains the development of tourism in the country, as most tourists practically do not leave the territory of hotels.

This report came amid news that a girl who disappeared 25 years ago in the USA was found in Mexico, as well as France's statement that 15 countries were ready to provide Ukraine with security guarantees.
