Former US President, Donald Trump, has presented a modified position on the issue of abortion, according to which the decision on its legality should be left to the separate consideration of each state.
He expressed this view in response to the Supreme Court decision that overturned the earlier Roe v. Wade decision and gave states the right to regulate abortion on their own. Trump emphasized that different states can make different laws regarding abortion, including determining terms and conditions, based on the will of their people through voting or legislation.
He also noted that the push for a total ban on abortion by some Republicans may have influenced the results of the midterm congressional elections, making the victory inconclusive.
