Russian citizens can now visit China visa-free for stays of up to one month. According to information released by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, this procedure will remain in effect until mid-September 2026.

Visa-free entry is permitted for tourism, business negotiations, participation in scientific, educational, sporting, cultural, and medical events, as well as for visiting relatives who are Chinese citizens or holders of a residence permit. Additional concessions are provided for transit passengers.

However, the new rules do not apply to individuals traveling to China for employment, study, or journalistic work. Family members of Russian citizens working or studying in China, as well as staff of Russian missions abroad, will still be required to obtain a visa as usual.

It has previously been reported that a seaside vacation with swimming may soon become a luxury. Oceanographers are warning of a growing threat in coastal waters around the world. This danger could make beach tourism inaccessible for most people. Furthermore, the Japanese resort of Fujikawaguchiko on Honshu Island became a real hit among Russian tourists in 2025. According to OneTwoTrip statistics, demand for bookings in this resort increased by 57% year-on-year. The destination's popularity continues to grow rapidly.
