Experts in the field of tourism told us how this situation will affect the plans of the Urals residents. Travel agent Dmitry Denholts believes that for tourists who prefer Sochi, Abkhazia and Dagestan, the situation will not be an obstacle. However, for those who are used to spending vacations in Anapa, Gelendzhik and nearby cities, it may become a problem.
Dmitry noted that most tourists organize trips to Anapa on their own, including trips by car. Travel agents have not noticed a significant decrease in the number of bookings. They are mainly used to organize children's groups or bus tours to the region.
Due to the fuel oil spill near Anapa, prices for other resorts have also increased. According to Dmitry Denholtz, a week's tour to Sochi in the season in an inexpensive hotel in Adler can cost 120-150 thousand rubles for two people, a vacation with a family - 200-250 thousand rubles. Mikhail Maltsev, president of the Ural Tourism Association, expressed hope that the situation would improve by summer.
“We are in contact with our colleagues and are confident that by the beginning of the season Anapa will be ready to receive tourists. I think that as soon as it becomes known that the environmental situation has normalized, the demand will recover, and operators and hotels will catch up,” commented Mikhail Maltsev.
