Volkov named Israel and Palestine as some of the most unsafe places for a vacation. He emphasized that the conflict between these countries continues to gain momentum, and tourists should avoid this region in order not to find themselves in a war zone.
Another risk zone is Iraq and Iran, where the threat of terrorist attacks and kidnappings remains high. Violent incidents are also common in these countries.
Brazil was also among the countries with high crime rates. Volkov noted that even walking the streets during the day can be dangerous due to frequent skirmishes and criminal gangs.
Robbery and car theft are also ubiquitous in the Republic of South Africa.
The environmental situation poses no small threat. For example, Indonesia, despite its beauty, suffers from a poor garbage recycling system, which significantly degrades the environment and creates additional health risks.
Equally dangerous are natural disasters, which often occur in countries with active seismic activity. In Japan, earthquakes and tsunamis are not uncommon, which requires tourists to be on high alert for emergencies. In turn, in the Philippines, typhoons and heavy rains can lead to devastating floods, and travelers should be prepared to react quickly in case of emergency.

The expert advises to closely monitor weather forecasts, recommendations of local authorities and be ready to evacuate in case of a threat, reports “The Secret of the Firm”.

Earlier, Elena Kravchenko, Director of the Center for Tourism Development of CSR, presented a profile of the average Russian tourist. Experts also explained why unusual and risky types of vacations are gaining popularity in Russia.
