The decision of the Chinese authorities opens a new era in tourist exchange between the countries. The year-long experiment with visa-free entry allows Russians to stay in China for up to 30 days with only one document - a valid passport. This simplification removes key barriers to spontaneous trips and family vacations, which will inevitably lead to an increase in tourist flow.
The tourism industry is already preparing for increased demand, developing new routes and strengthening partnerships with Chinese colleagues. Along with classic educational tours to Beijing and Shanghai, a boom in gastronomic, ecological and business destinations is expected. At the same time, operators do not predict a decrease in prices, noting the continuing high cost of flights.
The key challenge will be transport accessibility: the existing flight program may not cope with the rush demand. Parliamentarians hope for an expansion of air traffic agreements, noting the mutual interest of the parties. Chinese resorts are capable of competing with traditional Turkish destinations, and Russian regions are capable of offering unique educational tourism programs to Chinese guests.
