The Arbitration Court of the Sverdlovsk Region completely dismissed the Department for Tourism and Hospitality Development's claim against Baden Group for the return of 63.3 million rubles in subsidies. The decision was rendered on September 30, 2025.
The dispute concerned a grant allocated for the construction of modular, non-permanent accommodation facilities for the Baden-Baden Rezh resort. The Department claimed that the company had failed to meet deadlines. For its part, Baden Group pointed out that the department had transferred the funds six months late.
Baden Family founder Evgeny Kononov noted that he was surprised by the claim, especially given the department's head's previous public reports on the successful fulfillment of all subsidy recipients' obligations.
This is the second lawsuit the department has lost against grant recipients; the court previously dismissed its claim against Aramilskaya Sloboda Park. In total, in the summer of 2025, the agency filed a series of lawsuits totaling approximately 183 million rubles.
It was previously reported that Georgia remains a popular destination for Russians, but in 2025, growing discontent among some local residents became especially noticeable. Furthermore, Turkish authorities are planning to change the all-inclusive system and are considering introducing special certificates for hotels that combat food waste.
