Russian hockey player Evgeni Malkin has set an outstanding achievement in the National Hockey League. According to the NHL's official website, the 39-year-old Pittsburgh Penguins forward has posted the best scoring record among players his age in the first ten games of the season since the start of the 21st century.
In the game against the St. Louis Blues, Malkin scored a goal and made an assist, bringing his total to 16 (3+13) points at the start of the championship. This result allowed him to take second place in the league's history in terms of scoring among hockey players over 39 years old after ten games of the season. Gordie Howe remains the leader with 17 points, while Malkin surpassed another Russian forward, Alexander Ovechkin, who had 13 points.
Evgeni Malkin has played for the Pittsburgh Penguins since 2006, continuing to demonstrate a high level of play even in his mature years. This was reported by the Pittsburgh press service.
Earlier, it was reported that 12-year-old Alexander Plushenko won the tournament in Naro-Fominsk, scoring 192.91 points for two programs. In addition, at the end of the match between Real Madrid and Barcelona in the 10th round of the Spanish championship, a mass brawl broke out between the players of both teams.
