Russian Sports Minister Mikhail Degtyarev announced plans for large-scale funding of domestic sports through 2028. The total funding from the federal budget will amount to 231 billion rubles, with the "Sport of Russia" state program serving as the primary implementation tool. These investments will be used for the systematic development of sports infrastructure, supporting mass sports, and supporting domestic athletes.
Previously, seven new facilities have been added to the register of Moscow sports facilities eligible for property tax exemptions. Their owners will be able to reduce their tax burden by a factor of ten, and the total annual savings for all participants in the register will exceed 1.5 billion rubles.
