Two-time Olympic champion Svetlana Khorkina commented on the situation with the competition between Russian and American gymnasts. In her opinion, Russian gymnastics has great traditions and prospects for restoring international activity.
She noted that gymnastics in the US is also developed, but the beginnings of international interaction should be sought through hockey, namely the expected future match between KHL and NHL teams, and then spread to other sports.
Khorkina also emphasized to RT that in case of successful steps in this direction, the hockey team, particularly Alexander Ovechkin, will play an important role.
Earlier it turned out that four hockey players are ready to bypass the Russian in the NHL.
