What's New in the Fourth Generation of XFIT METHOD Training Systems

Children's fitness, group and water training of the XFIT METHOD system have been updated. Oksana Markova, director of the XFIT fitness product, tells us about what awaits visitors of fitness clubs.

In December 2023, an innovative system for supporting clients of XFIT METHOD fitness clubs was launched in Russia. After a basic diagnosis, a personal “road map” of classes and a clear training plan corresponding to the level of training are created for each client in order to quickly and safely achieve fitness goals.

The training program within the system is regularly updated, and now the fourth release of XFIT METHOD is in effect in the brand's fitness clubs. The key changes affected three areas: children's fitness, group and water programs.

Children's fitness. New exercise complexes have been created taking into account the age characteristics and needs of young visitors to fitness clubs. “Gymnastics 3+” has become a school of early development: now children will master important coordination skills, learn to jump rope and work on a gymnastic bench, cultivating discipline and pleasure from physical education. “Plastic 7+” will teach children to love moving and take care of their bodies. The program is designed specifically for younger schoolchildren, prevents posture disorders and restores natural joint mobility.

For older schoolchildren, two updated programs are available. "Physics 11+" is as close as possible to adult training: the number of complex coordination tasks has been increased, choreographic lunges, squats and various plank variations have appeared, developing endurance and attentiveness. And "Plastic 11+" will give children a comprehensive solution to the issues of physical inactivity and loss of flexibility caused by rapid growth and academic loads.

In group programs for adults, "Athletics Start" training has acquired a new structure based on the circuit method and consists of a more complex set of exercises for a large part of the body. In "Physics Start" the emphasis was placed on exercises with active extension of the body, improving the mobility of the hip joint and toning the abdominal muscles.

The third step in the update was the Pilates Start program, aimed at improving breathing patterns and motor coordination. The fourth was Dynamics Start, in which a new choreography was developed taking into account the training of neuromuscular connections and the improvement of neurocognitive functions. The steps are well thought out, the movements are performed in different planes, which helps improve coordination.

The water programs were changed as part of the Dynamics Start training, where a new system for learning basic exercises in water appeared. Each one consistently progresses in intensity. Due to the large number of repetitions, beginners will gain the skill of the correct technique of movements and feel an increase in endurance due to the correct execution of exercises.

The new programs maintain methodological continuity, but at the same time meet the growing expectations of clients with a focus on their needs. All updates have already been integrated into XFIT educational modules and will become part of the professional training of trainers,” comments Oksana Markova, XFIT Fitness Product Director.
