Hockey club Sibir has signed a contract with 24-year-old defenseman Roman Kalinichenko. The agreement is for two years and is bilateral in nature, allowing the hockey player to play in both the Kontinental Hockey League and the Major Hockey League if necessary.
Kalinichenko spent last season in the WHL, where he defended the colors of Zvezda Zvezda. He scored 8 points in 46 games, recording one puck and seven assists. Earlier he also played in the KHL with CSKA, playing 43 games for the Moscow club.
Inviting the defenseman could strengthen the defensive ranks of the Novosibirsk team, which reached the first round of the Gagarin Cup playoffs last season. Sibir had a tough series against Salavat Yulaev, losing 3-4 in seven games.
We will point out that to tears - Rostov players did not hold back emotions from the defeat in the Cup of Russia. Recall that Komlichenko leaves Rostov after the final Golenkov called it a great loss.
