Many people lose concentration at work because of this. The constant online presence leads to increased anxiety, irritability and severe cognitive decline.
Half of the 467 test participants could not stand it and left the experiment before it began. That is, the blocking program was installed but not enabled. A quarter got off track, and only 119 people made it to the end, enduring 14 days without mobile internet.
After reviewing the reports of the 119 subjects, the scientists noted significant improvements. Participants in the experiment became happier and more satisfied with their lives; they began to feel calmer, as they did while taking antidepressants; their concentration improved as their brains began to work as if they were younger; and their sleep improved.
