A former employee of the museum-reserve “Mamaev Kurgan”, who wished to remain anonymous, provided information about the current state of the object.
She noted in a conversation with life.ru the lack of ventilation system, which leads to stuffiness inside the monument. At an outside temperature of 26 degrees Celsius in the rooms there is a significant increase in temperature, which creates discomfort. Climbing to the 16th floor without using the elevator is a significant physical strain even for healthy people.
The woman stressed that there are no officially organized tours of the monument. However, unofficial VIP-excursions are organized for certain categories of people, including museum staff and representatives of the administration. Access for the general public is limited.
