Russian air carriers Aurora and Aeroflot plan to buy 42 Superjet-100s assembled in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Yakovlev CEO Andrei Boginsky told TASS.
The companies have already signed an agreement to supply the airliners over three years. According to it, Aeroflot will receive 34 airplanes, while the Far East-based Aurora will receive eight.
Boginsky earlier said that the first two SJ-100s will be ready by the end of 2023. But, as he noted, the issue of certification after the airplanes are equipped with Russian PD-8 engines is still open.
