Piotrovsky: We are introducing free days for everyone

The State Hermitage Museum has announced the introduction of free admission days for all visitors. This was announced by the museum's director general, Mikhail Piotrovsky.

"We have introduced free days for everyone. These days will coincide with public holidays. There are eight of them in total throughout the year. We have a day that is free for everyone—Christmas, Defender of the Fatherland Day, March 8, Cosmonautics Day on April 12, Museum Day on May 18, Teachers' Day on October 5, National Unity Day on November 4, and Hermitage Day, which coincides with St. Catherine's Day on December 7," he told reporters.

In addition, the Hermitage has expanded benefits for certain categories of visitors. From October 1, on Thursdays, when admission is free for pensioners, the Hermitage will also provide free access to children under 18, students, including college students and cadets.
