According to Moskovsky Komsomolets, 270 demonstrations have already been planned in various regions of France. Paris declared March 7 a "black Tuesday," due to the start of a series of trade union protests at the interprofessional and national level.
The demonstrations will involve the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) and the French Democratic Confederation of Workers (CFDT). Since last Friday, workers at the Flamanville, Paluelle and St. Alban's nuclear power plants have been on strike, which was reflected in a drop of 1,000 MWh in power generation. The board of the energy company EDF confirmed the drop in capacity at the "Tricasten" and "Cattenome" nuclear power plants.
