According to the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the joint share of Wildberries and Ozon is 80% of the market. The agency said that the sites occupy a dominant position.
The share of Wildberries in the Russian market reached 47%, and Ozon - 35.5%, specified Deputy Head of the FAS Peter Ivanov at a meeting of the round table of the Council of Federation on the regulation of marketplaces.
Ivanov noted that the prohibition, which was established by the law on the protection of competition on the abuse of a dominant position, applies to the named companies in full measure.
The deputy head of the FAS emphasized that, according to the results of market analysis from 2021 to the third quarter of 2023, the turnover on marketplaces increased more than seven times - from 167 billion rubles to 1.2 trillion rubles.
The number of sellers who sell goods through marketplaces has increased sevenfold - up to 700 thousand unique organizations, including self-employed and IEs, RBC writes.
