A monument appeared on Alexander Gradsky's grave, located in Vagankovskoye cemetery. The installation of the tombstone was held without unnecessary hype, so at this moment in the cemetery was present only the young widow of the maestro Marina Kotashenko, his younger children and 20 other people.
Children Daniel and Maria, born in the third marriage, did not come to the event.
Later Marina explained to “Radio 1”, why the process of installation of the tombstone was delayed for three years. It turned out that all this time the heirs of the maestro shared his fortune. And when the funds were distributed, the eldest children said that they had no money for the monument.
“By this time, all heirs under the law have already received significant sums of money from the inheritance mass, which would quietly allow to install a beautiful monument to the father. But the money for daddy, apparently, is pitiful,” - resented Kotashenko.
As a result, she installed the tombstone herself, having ordered it from the famous sculptor Vadim Tserkovnikov.
At the request of the widow, he made a 35-ton monument, which depicts Gradsky, and a grand piano, guitar and curtain are cut out of the stone.
Recall, Alexander Gradsky did not become in 2021. On November 26, he went to the hospital with a suspected stroke. He became bad at home.
It is known that before his death Gradsky and Kotashenko lived at different addresses. The artist was looked after by a nurse, which was found for the maestro by his third wife Olga. The musician maintained friendly relations with her after his divorce.
