Throughout all parts of the trilogy and two of the three "Hobbit" films, Weaving played Elrond, the High Elven ruler of Rivendell. However, 25 years after filming began on The Fellowship of the Ring, the actor shared his feelings about the role in an interview with The Guardian.

He admitted that his character was more of a background rather than a centerpiece, and even called him a "clotheshorse." Weaving has also stated that he has no interest in returning to the role of Elrond in the Amazon TV project "Rings of Power," despite the fact that filming on the second season wrapped in 2023.

Although the actor has had many notable roles, including Agent Smith in "The Matrix," he admitted that he had grown tired of playing villains. After his participation in "The First Avenger," he realized it was time to change his acting career trajectory.

Earlier, Natalia Oreiro secretly starred in a Russian movie, and it also became known how much the wedding of Jasmine's son cost.
