Vasily Livanov, People's Artist of the RSFSR, public favorite, performer of the role of Sherlock Holmes, is in hospital again. It turned out that the actor needed an urgent operation.
The actor was hospitalized in a Moscow clinic on December 7. As reported by Telegram-channel Mash, Livanov removed a blood clot that clogged the artery of the arm.
The operation to remove the clot was successful. Now Livanov is recovering from surgery, his condition is stable.
This is the second hospitalization of the actor over the past few months. Earlier he was hospitalized after an ischemic stroke. The 89-year-old actor felt bad on September 29 after he went shopping with his wife and granddaughter.
As a result, he was hospitalized at the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute.
However, during the examination, doctors revealed another pathology in the celebrity. A comprehensive MRI examination showed that the actor has formed a tumor in the pelvic area.
At the same time, the neoplasm does not cause doctors to worry.
“The disease at the moment is not progressing and the actor's life is not threatening - it will be enough for him to be observed by an oncologist once a year,” - stated in the message.
As for the consequences of the stroke, according to the artist's wife Elena, he has a slight speech impairment and paralysis of part of the face. However, in time, Livanov will recover.
Also during an unscheduled examination, caused by the concern of doctors because of the noticeable pallor of the patient, Livanov was found to have anemia.
At the moment, his condition is assessed as moderately serious.
“Everything is going well, as it should. Doctors prescribed medication, prescribed treatment,” - told earlier concerned fans the spouse of the actor Elena.
