A Moscow court heard the criminal case against actor Yakov Levda, who assaulted his mother last November. The actor gained popularity thanks to his role in the TV series "Sklifosovsky."
The conflict broke out after the actor's mother interrupted her son's vacation. She called Yakov and asked him to come over while he was relaxing at home with a friend and drinking alcohol.
Levda arrived at his mother's with his friend and a bottle. He reacted inappropriately to his mother's reprimand, throwing things around and hitting her.
Yakov then began jumping on the door, which gave way and fell on his mother.
The woman suffered broken ribs and hematomas on her pelvis, chest, and eye.
The actor fully admitted his guilt and was sentenced to three years in prison.
It was previously reported that 31-year-old actress Aglaya Tarasova was detained after a security search at Domodedovo Airport.
