Tigran Keosayan's ex-wife, actress Alena Khmelnitskaya, is mourning the film director's death.
The couple divorced after 20 years of marriage in 2014. Despite the divorce, Khmelnitskaya and Keosayan maintained a warm relationship. Moreover, Alena managed to become friends with Tigran's new wife, Margarita Simonyan.
The day before, Khmelnitskaya shared footage taken before her marriage to the film director broke up. In the footage, she and Keosayan are performing the song "I Will Always Be With You."
"The father of my children, my ex-husband, my dearest friend, and director Tigran Keosayan has passed away... This is a great sorrow," Alena wrote.
Tigran Keosayan died on the night of September 26th without regaining consciousness. The film director had been in a coma for the past nine months.
