Chinese scientists have proven the benefits of vitamin B in the fight against dementia. A study involving 4,000 people aged 40 to 69 showed that the supplement reduced the risk of developing the disease.

An article on this topic was published in EatingWell.

The effect of riboflavin (vitamin B2) was particularly pronounced. Regular intake of this vitamin reduced the risk of dementia by 49%.

The risk of cognitive decline in old age also decreased by 20% with vitamin B6 and folic acid.

The scientists also emphasized that vitamins act as a preventative measure. They are especially effective in people without a history of stroke.
