Scientists in America claim that sharks can protect people from the coronavirus. As a result of studies, experts have found that the proteins of the immune system of these predators can prevent infection by the coronavirus.
Sharks' immune system proteins are 10 times smaller than those of humans, so they have the ability to reach places (coronavirus spines) where human antibodies cannot reach because of their large size. Which can be used to prevent the pathogen from binding to human cells.
US scientists hope that this could be used to create a cure for the coronavirus.
Tests on volunteers have not been conducted at this time.
