Scientists have told how mosquitoes choose a victim. Earlier it was proved that they are attracted by body odor. For example, the smell of sweat and some cosmetics.

After studying the behavior of mosquitoes, scientists have come to the conclusion that, choosing whom to bite, mosquitoes also focus on the color of clothing.

As reported by Planet Today, they are attracted to red, orange, black and cyan.

At the same time, white, blue, light green and purple make humans less attractive to insects because they reflect the sun's rays.

The odor of citrus and cloves will repel mosquitoes, the researchers added.

Earlier, scientists said that mosquitoes can find a person whose “scent” they like from a distance of 100 meters. Also, mosquitoes more often prefer to bite adults rather than children.
