From July 1 from St. Petersburg will be launched the first tourist route in the Arctic "The Road of the Arctic. In the footsteps of Peter the Great". The route is dedicated to the first Russian emperor. Recall that in 2022, the country celebrated the 350th anniversary of Peter I.

The route of about 200 kilometers was developed by Russian scientists, specialists in museums of the northern capital and the experts of the Russian Geographical Society. Tourists will move from St. Petersburg to the White Sea through the points associated with the life and work of Peter the Great.

Along the way travelers will visit the Pomory settlements and will be able to take part in ancient rituals.
