St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov has announced plans to extend the metro line directly to Pulkovo Airport. On the instructions of President Vladimir Putin, the possibility of continuing the “red” line to Pulkovo, “Expoforum” and “Technological Valley” is being worked out. As the official noted, this project is very serious and will be taken up after the metro station “Prospekt Veteranov” is ready.
This will be the first case in the modern history of the city, when money from the federal budget will be allocated for the construction. The city's metro construction also needs additional equipment, both domestic and imported. In particular, three more excavation shields are expected, which will not only speed up the work, but also reduce its cost.
Earlier it was reported that in the morning of December 27, the metro station “Mountain Institute” opened.
Analysts recorded a drop in the number of mortgages in St. Petersburg and the growing popularity of buying housing in installments.
