A commission from the Audit Chamber (Accounts Chamber) reviewed the progress of construction of the electric bus depot in Rzhevka and concluded that the project will not be completed by the original deadline. All work was supposed to be completed by the end of 2026, but these plans now appear unrealistic.
Smolny stated that construction is being carried out in two phases. According to the Audit Chamber's estimates, work on the first phase is 80% complete, while work on the second phase, scheduled for completion in 2026, is only 15% complete. Some work is one or even two years behind schedule.
"According to experts, timely completion of the work will not be ensured due to the bankruptcy of the contractor," the Audit Chamber added.
