1. Go to street concerts
St. Petersburg is famous for its open-air summer concerts. The best locations are Roof Place overlooking the bay, Flagpole on Krestovsky Island, Gostinka Courtyard in the city center and the Sevkabel Porto stage, where you can hear sympho-rock and jazz by the water.
2. have fun at festivals
Summer is festival season! Especially look forward to VK Fest in the 300th Anniversary Park, ethno-festival EtoEtno, Odyssey Festival, Afisha's Picnic and inclusion festival “Anton is here next door” in Sevkabel.
3. Admire the fountains of Peterhof
In summer, palace and park ensembles are especially good. Peterhof, with its fountains and views of the bay, is an absolute must-see. And Pavlovsk, Gatchina, Komarovo and Repino.
4. Visit the evening of humor
Standup is on the wave now: in “Olympia” and Comedy Place there are shows from Comedy Club residents and stars of the new standup. An easy way to forget about everyday life and energize yourself with positivity.
5. Discover St. Petersburg as a gastronomic capital
Check out “Barslona” for the atmosphere of Spain or go to Vokzal 1853, the country's largest food mall with cuisines from around the world. St. Petersburg is a foodie's paradise.
6. Visit iconic urban spaces
Favorite spots include Sevkabel Port with its panoramic waterfront and events and nearby Brusnitsyn, which has become a new hotspot in a year with festivals, fairs and sunset views.
7. Find a new hobby
Try VR paintball at WARPOINT, go to the rope park “Nut” or discover contemporary art at Erart. Or maybe try mini golf at Nikolskiye Ryady or an evening of jazz at Igor Butman's club?
8. See St. Petersburg from the water
River trips along the canals are a classic. And for romantics - sailing in the Gulf of Finland: wind, waves and freedom from the bustle of the city.
9. See the city from a height
Safe observation decks offer stunning views. For example, the Duma Tower is a great vantage point for rooftops, domes and sunsets.
10. Enjoy nature
A trip to a quiet suburb, a bike ride along the bay or a walk along eco-trails. And with kids, head to the Leningrad Zoo, which offers guided tours, workshops and feeding demonstrations.
More entertainment can be found on the portal “Petersburg2”.
And where to go already this weekend - we wrote earlier. Also on June 11, the first rehearsal of “Scarlet Sails” took place in St. Petersburg.
