According to the St Petersburg Interdepartmental Coordinating Council on Coronavirus, the risk of contracting the infection in the northern capital is now higher than it was a week ago. Over the past week the number of new cases of COVID-19 increased by 49.37%.
The increase in daily hospital admissions for adult patients with COVID-19 was 24.46%. The total number of patients being treated for the infection increased by 3.95%.
At the moment there are 5,248 beds in the northern capital for patients with coronavirus. Of these, around 14.9% are vacant. The proportion of severely ill patients is 24%. There are 180 people on ventilators.
