Three new hotels may be built near the 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg Park and Lakhta Center in St. Petersburg. The plot of land under consideration between Primorsky Prospekt and the waters of the Lakhta Harbor is owned by Lakhta Plaza LLC, which belongs to Pavel Prigozhin. The area of the hotels should be about 65 thousand square meters.
A cultural center with a hotel, exhibition spaces and conference halls, the Gazprom Ecogallery, will be located next to the potential hotel. According to the Delovoy Peterburg publication, the hotels are planned to be built by 2035.
“The most appropriate class for a large hotel is four stars. The location does not yet have sufficient potential for five stars, and three stars will be in demand, but probably less profitable than four,” says Igor Kokorev, director of the consulting company Nikoliers.
Sergey Mironov proposed that the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg rename St. Petersburg to Leningrad nine times a year.
