Vice-governor of St. Petersburg Nikolay Linchenko said that the entrance to the subway “Teatralnaya” will most likely be dug at the address Lermontovsky Prospekt, 1 in the House of everyday life. The solution to this issue was agreed upon after long discussions. It was because of the misunderstanding of where to build the descent to the station that the start of its work was constantly postponed.
After the approval of the new plan, the city authorities still have to solve the property issue. Before that, the exit from the subway wanted to build next to the Mariinsky Theater, but its head Valery Gergiev strongly opposed. Now the beginning of the station “Teatralnaya” is scheduled for 2029.
Earlier it was reported that the lobbies and waiting platforms for trains at the station “Teatralnaya” are almost built.
St. Petersburg authorities are looking for a contractor who will be able to build a continuation of the Makarov embankment.
