Vladimir Knyaginin, vice-governor of St. Petersburg, said that today the shortage of personnel is most acute in construction and industry, as well as in health care and science. In particular, there is a shortage of turners and welders at enterprises. Many vacancies are open for engineers. There is also a shortage of medics of different profiles.
The official also noted that from the total number of pensioners living in the city, about 6000 intend to work further, as well as to learn a new profession, if necessary. For this purpose Knyaginin recommends to apply for help to specialists in the employment center, where they will be provided with all the necessary assistance, including psychological.
