According to the resolution of St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov, city private schools in 2025 will receive subsidies from the budget totaling 948.9 million rubles. As it was specified in the press service of Smolny, the money will be used for implementation of both general education programs and preschool education.
According to the terms of allocation of subsidies, the money should go to compensate the expenses of private educational institutions, which they incur in payment of salaries to educational staff, as well as in the purchase of toys and textbooks. But the cost of utilities and building maintenance are not covered by subsidies.
Earlier it was reported that in public schools in St. Petersburg from September 1, lunch in canteens will rise in price.
