Furthermore, Zakharova commented on the EU's initiative to monitor transit supplies, calling it unrealistic and comparing it to the situation in the fairy tale "The Little Match Girl," where a child dying of cold is denied help. The diplomat emphasized that the current situation resembles a tragicomedy verging on tragedy, and again described it as "utter darkness."
