The leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot, has warned Paris against locating UAV production in Ukraine.

“If Renault implements a project to build a drone factory in Ukraine, Russia's instant reaction will be inevitable,” he wrote in social network X.

Filippo emphasized that the opening of the Renault plant on Ukrainian territory would inevitably entail its rapid destruction by the Russian armed forces, which is a kind of warning.

He urged the leadership of the auto concern to abandon the idea, emphasizing that the implementation of such a project will close the Russian market for the company, which will have a negative impact on the French economy.

Earlier, France Info reported on Renault's intentions to organize the production of drones in Ukraine, specifying that cooperation will be carried out with enterprises located far from the contact line.

On Saturday, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu said in an interview with LCI TV channel about the partnership of a major French automaker with a defense company to organize the production of drones in Ukraine, without naming specific participants in the deal.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces destroyed almost all Abrams tanks, which were supplied by Western countries to Ukrainian militants.
