The guests were introduced to the history of the ethnopark's creation and were given a familiarization tour of the territory of the complex, including visits to four national farmsteads: Russian, Ossetian, Kyrgyz and Mordovian.
Samara is a multinational city, and for our common well-being it is very important to have harmony between the residents and respect for the traditions and mentality of different peoples living in the region. The Peoples' Friendship Park is a landmark tourist point on the map of Samara and a wonderful place where you can spend a whole day together with your family, learn more about traditions and see the beauty in the diversity of cultures of the peoples of Russia, - emphasized Ivan Noskov.
The complex, consisting of 20 national houses and farmsteads, demonstrates the culture and customs of the peoples inhabiting the Samara region. Here visitors can get acquainted with household items, musical instruments, literary works and colorful national costumes. Each farmstead includes farm buildings corresponding to the traditional occupations of the peoples: barns, stables, mills, forges, apiaries, wells, bathhouses, etc. Each national house has a “Golden Book” telling about the contribution of the people to the development of Russia.
According to Svetlana Kondratieva, director of the ethnopark, the park is included in the tourist routes of the Samara region and is a symbol of unity and good neighborliness of all peoples living in the region. She added that the park always welcomes tourists and holds excursions, master classes and festive events for residents of the city and the region, as well as seeks to expand cooperation with schools and universities in the region.
Recall that the Peoples' Friendship Park was opened in 2021 on the initiative of Rostislav Khugaev, chairman of the “Union of Peoples of the Samara Region”.
