The Council of Federation proposes to hold presidential elections in Russia on March 17. This was announced by the head of the constitutional committee Andrei Klishas.
The proposal will be considered on December 7.
"The resolution of the Sovfed with the appointment of the date of the presidential election may be approved by senators on December 7," RIA Novosti quoted Klishas as saying.
It is possible that the head of the CEC of the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova will attend the plenary session of the Sovfed.
Earlier, the leader of the CPRF Zyuganov said when the Sovfed will announce the presidential election in 2024.
