Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on sanctions against Russian companies in the field of nuclear energy. This was announced by the president of Ukraine himself in his Telegram channel.
"The decision of the National Security and Defense Council on restrictions against Russia's nuclear industry has come into force. This is not the last decision in this industry," Zelensky said.
The presidential decree is published on the website of Zelensky's office. There are a total of 200 companies on the list, including Rosatom, Atomcapital, Reactor Materials Institute, Russian Superconductor, and Troitsk Institute for Innovative and Thermonuclear Research. All of Rosatom's subsidiaries are also on the list.
The sanctions have been imposed for 50 years. They provide for the blocking of assets, limitation of operations, and cessation of transit of resources and transportation through Ukraine. The sanctions also include the suspension of financial obligations, the revocation of licenses, and the termination of trade agreements.
The radio-frequency resource of Ukraine becomes unavailable to sub-sanctioned companies, they will be restricted from providing communication services.
