Eleven stations are already operating on the Troitskaya metro line, spanning the section from ZIL to Kommunarka. Construction workers are currently beginning the final phase of this line's construction.

The plan is to construct dozens of kilometers of tunnels, build six stations, and provide convenient transfer hubs, all of which will be operational by 2029. According to the mayor, this will provide "new" Moscow with a key transportation hub, guaranteeing its stable development for decades to come.

The 16.8-kilometer southern section of the Troitskaya line will run along the Kaluga Highway, from Kommunarka to Troitsk. Six new stations will be opened on this section: Sosenki, Rakitki, Desna, Kedrovaya, Vatutinki, and Troitsk.

Once completed, the southern section of the Troitskaya Line, comprising 17 stations and stretching 43 kilometers, will become one of the longest lines in the Moscow Metro system and the longest outside the Moscow Ring Road. The new line will significantly improve accessibility for two million residents of Moscow and the surrounding region, according to the Moscow City Hall press service.

Sobyanin: 90 percent of Moscow's public transportation runs on electric power.
