Moscow deservedly holds a leading position among the greenest cities in the world. Residents of the capital increasingly prefer to spend their summer time on specially equipped eco-trails located in parks and natural areas of the capital.
Walks along these routes allow you to observe wild animals, get acquainted with rare species of plants and enjoy the beauty of nature. Within the framework of the project “Active Citizen” Muscovites are invited to name the most interesting and picturesque eco-routes created in the city over the past five years.
The participants of voting can choose no more than three of the nine proposed options. The list includes an ecological route in the park “Yauza” and a unique aerial eco-trail at VDNKh. Also in the voting are the routes through the natural-historical parks “Moskvoretsky”, ‘Tushinsky’ and “Bittsevsky Forest”, as well as eco-trails in the parks “Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo” and “Filatov Meadow”. You can also choose routes in the floodplains of the rivers Shmelevka and Kuznetsovka and in the nature reserve “Setun River Valley”.
The project “Active Citizen” was opened in 2014, uniting more than seven million participants. During its existence more than seven thousand votes have been held. The development of this area are engaged in the SCU “New Management Technologies” and the Department of Information Technology of Moscow, reports the press service of the Moscow mayor's office.
